Uaganda and Rwanda

Uganda and Rwanda, 3,5 week in a 28y old Landcruiser with rooftoptent. What an adventure it was and what great countries they are! Lots of wildlife and very warm people. I truly recommend visiting these lesser known East African countries. Preferably driving yourself to give you all the freedom you want and to give you that extra feeling of adventure. Pics: Uganda Rwanda

Iceland

Real nice yearly trip with the boys! 4 full days, able to get a good impression of this impressive and sometimes surreal country. Pics: Iceland

Colombia

A bit over 3 weeks in this diverse country. Way too short but we enjoyed every bit of it. After 2 days Bogota we rented a car and visited Villa de Leyva, Honda, Salamina, Jardin and Santa Fe before we handed it in in Medellin. From there we took a plane to the island Providencia where we did quite some scuba diving. The last week was divided between Cartagena and Rincon Del Mar. Pics: Colombia

Albania

That time of the year again, yearly trip with the men… This time a bit different, a roadtrip through Albania with 4 Lada Niva’s! Mostly off-road and some (wild) camping. Real nice 6 days. Pics: Albania

Olympic Games Paris

5 days at the Olympics. I was in London 12 years ago, but this time the atmosphere was much better. They really made an effort to include the city of Paris and its historic buildings.

Northern Spain

Little over a week in the Northern part of Spain, a lesser visited part of this beautiful country. We spend most of the time north of the Picos de Europa, from Bilbao as far west as Ribadeo, through the provinces of Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia. Spectacular surroundings, great people and delicious food. On our way back we drove south of los Picos, with short visits to León and Burgos, both cities known for their enormous cathedrals.

Absolutely a round trip I can recommend! Pics: Spain

Thailand

2 weeks of Thailand, what an easy going wonderful country it is. We’ve been here a few times, but it will not bore you. The food, the beaches, the people, the diving, the nature. It’s got it all. The (small) downside of it, is that more people know about this, but still plenty of places to go if you don’t like too touristy places. Pics: Thailand
